Brooklyn Rider on Debussy / Brooklyn Rider joue Debussy
In this video, genre-defying String quartet Brooklyn Rider gives a live performance of the second movement of Debussy's String Quartet in a WNYC soundcheck studio. Made up of violinists Johnny Gandelsman and Colin Jacobsen, violist Nicholas Cords and cellist Eric Jacobsen, the quartet has had a longstanding participation in Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble and is known for its creative and wide-ranging programming, from classical to rock to jazz and much more. The Jacobsen brothers are also co-founders of The Knights, a New York-based chamber orchestra that opened the 2009 Dresden Musikfestspiele and released two albums with Sony Classical.
