Kent Nagano Conducts Schumann's Rhenish Symphony / Kent Nagano dirige la Rhénane de Schumann

This is the first "Kent Nagano and the OSM Week" at the Orford Festival 2010. With the apparent demise of the Knowlton Festival, Nagano and the OSM have found a place to make music just a little further east. Nagano and the OSM will present two concerts at Saint Patrice Church in Magog, and Nagano will also conduct the festival's student orchestra in the same venue in a concert of works by Widmann, Mozart and Schumann. The Schumann is the Symphony No. 3 "Rhenish" which Nagano has recorded on a DVD with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin. Our music video this week includes an excerpt from that DVD.

C’est la première année de la Semaine Kent Nagano et l’OSM au Festival Orford 2010. Avec la suspension du Festival de Knowlton, Kent Nagano et l’OSM ont trouvé un nouvel endroit situé un peu plus à l’est pour faire de la musique. Le maestro et l’OSM présenteront deux concerts à l’Église Saint-Patrice à Magog. De plus, il dirigera l’Orchestre de l’Académie Orford aussi à l’église dans un concert des œuvres de Widmann, Mozart et Schumann. Kent Nagano a enregistré sur DVD la Symphonie n^o3 de Schumann qui est surnommé Rhénane avec l’Orchestre symphonique allemand de Berlin. Cette semaine, notre vidéoclip comprend un extrait de ce DVD.
