Nezet-Seguin Conducts Mozart With the Philadelphia Orchestra / Yannick Nézet-Séguin dirige le Requiem de Mozart avec l’Orchestre de Philadelphie

Yannick does not take over the Philadelphia orchestra until next season - details to be announced shortly - but this season he has been making some appearances as music director designate. Here he is in a recent rehearsal with the orchestra in Mozart's Requiem. Notice that Yannick has some touches of his own in this familiar piece. Note particularly the way he extends the rests and reduces the volume on the last chord. Demand was so great for the concerts that an extra performance had to be added.
