Gould and Rose in Beethoven sonata / Gould et Rose jouent Beethoven

In honour of Beethoven's 240th birth anniversary Dec. 17, here's an undated historical black-and-white video footage of Glenn Gould and Leonard Rose performing the composer's Sonata for Piano and Cello No. 3 in A major, Op. 69. Both Gould and Rose played from memory and Rose sat on the left side of Gould, instead of the usual position in front of the piano.
